Connections
① INPUT
- Connect your bass guitar here.
- Works with both passive and active basses.
② OUTPUT
- Connect to your amplifier input or the next pedal in your chain.
③ DC 9–12V (Centre-Negative)
- Use a center-negative DC 9–12V power supply.
- 12V offers increased headroom.
- If using 18V, use regulated power only.
Controls
④ INPUT Knob (Input Level)
- Clockwise increases input signal.
- Recommended adjustment for high-output pickups or active basses.
- Suggested starting point: 12 o’clock.
⑤ FREQUENCY Knob (EQ Center Frequency)
- Selects the center frequency of the EQ band.
- Lower settings: fuller body / low-end control.
- Mid settings: stronger presence and attack.
- This is the core tone-shaping control.
⑥ CUT / BOOST Knob
- Left: CUT / Right: BOOST for the selected frequency.
- Tuned for a musical response and natural feel.
Switching & Indicator
⑦ LED Indicator
- LED on: effect engaged.
- Vintage amplifier-style amber LED.
⑧ FOOTSWITCH
- Turns the effect ON/OFF.
Quick Start Settings
- Neutral / Always-on: INPUT 12 o’clock, FREQUENCY mid, CUT/BOOST at center (or slight boost).
- Tight Low End: FREQUENCY lower, CUT slightly.
- More Punch / Presence: FREQUENCY mid, BOOST slightly.
Notes
- If clipping/distortion occurs, lower the INPUT knob or reduce instrument output.
- For best results, set INPUT first, then choose FREQUENCY, then adjust CUT/BOOST.
